The Hudson River Valley has been the inspiration for painters, writers, architects, and landscape designers since the early 19th century. This is where America's first great landscape artists founded the Hudson River School and where you will find the views and vision that stimulated this national artistic movement, a model for land conservation, and historic gardens that shaped American landscape design.
In this talk, we will pay a visit to Kijkuit, Lyndhurst, Boscobel, Montgomery Place, and Olana. These historic Properties are very different, yet they all share majestic views of the Hudson River as well as magnificent landscapes.
